Agreeing to these terms

By linking your Steam account, playing online, or using items, BITS, crates or matchmaking, you agree to these terms. If you don't, you can still play offline and practice.

Who can play

Pony Duel is intended for adults aged 18 and older. By playing, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Content warning: this game contains blood, gore, and suggestive character designs. No nudity.

A free fan game

Pony Duel is a free, unofficial, non-commercial fan game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hasbro. Nothing in it is sold for real money.

Your account

Your account is your Steam account, linked to the Pony Duel server. One account per person. Don't share it, lend it or sell it; you're responsible for what's done with it.

Items and BITS

BITS, keys, crates and items are earned in the game only. They have no real-world value, you don't own them, and they can never be exchanged for money. They can be changed, reset or removed at any time, for example to fix a bug, rebalance the game or undo cheating.

No trading

There is no trading in Pony Duel. Don't buy, sell or trade accounts, items or BITS, for money or anything else, inside or outside the game. Doing so can get items wiped and accounts banned.

Conduct

Don't:

• cheat, or use modified clients, hacks or exploits (report bugs instead);
• harass, threaten or bully other players, or post hate;
• share anyone's personal information;
• post, upload or share anything illegal.

Addons and your content

Addons are made by players, not by us. You're responsible for anything you make, upload or share, including addons, sprays, names and chat, and you must have the right to share it. We can remove anything that breaks these terms.

Enforcement

If you break these terms, we can wipe your items, BITS or rank, or ban your Steam account from the economy and online play, at our discretion and without warning.

Privacy

When you link Steam, the Pony Duel server stores:

• your SteamID and Steam name;
• your items, BITS, crates, rank and stats;
• your session tokens, hashed (never the tokens themselves);
• IP addresses, for rate limiting, stopping abuse, and checking that a Steam link is finished on the network that started it;
• reports from the matches you play;
• which version of these terms you accepted, and when.

We use this only to run the game and keep it fair. We never sell it. You can delete your account and everything stored about it at any time with Delete my account in the game's Items screen; that removes your items and BITS for good. Other players' match history keeps an anonymous placeholder where you were, and if your account was banned, a scrambled record of the ban is kept so it can't be dodged by deleting. Settings and looks saved on your own PC stay there until you remove the game, and our host's routine server logs may keep request records for a limited time. Online matches connect through Steam, under Steam's own privacy policy. Other players in a match see your Steam name, your text chat and your voice chat; people hosting a server may keep their own logs.

No warranty

Pony Duel and its servers are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. They may go down, lose data or shut down at any time.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, the makers of Pony Duel aren't liable for any loss or damage from using the game, its servers or addons, including lost items or BITS. This doesn't take away rights the law gives you that can't be taken away.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. Each version has a number and a date at the top of this page. When they change, the game asks you to accept the new version before you play online again.
